Signing In and Out

This page walks you through signing in to Wasp Inventory, what to do if you forget your password, and how to sign out when you’re finished.

  • You’ll need the web address for your Wasp Inventory site plus a username (or email) and password. Your administrator provides these when your account is created.
  • If you were invited by email, use the link in that invitation to set your password before signing in the first time.
  • Wasp Inventory works in any modern web browser. For the smoothest experience, keep your browser up to date.
  1. Open Wasp Inventory in your web browser. You’ll see the sign-in screen with the Wasp Inventory logo.
  2. In the User Name field, enter your username or email address.
  3. In the Password field, enter your password.
  4. Select Remember Me if you’d like Wasp Inventory to remember your user name on this device.
  5. Click Login.

If your username or password isn’t recognized, a message appears near the top of the form. Double-check for typos (passwords are case-sensitive) and try again.

If you can’t remember your password:

  1. On the sign-in screen, click the Forgot password? link.
  2. Enter your User Name and click Submit.
  3. Check your email for the password-reset message and follow its instructions to set a new password.

When you set a new password, the screen shows the password requirements (such as minimum length and required character types). A checkmark appears next to each requirement as your new password meets it. Enter the same password in both the new-password and confirm-password fields, then save.

The Working Site determines which site (or sites) you’re working with. It appears near the top of the screen once you’re signed in and shows your current selection in brackets: for example, Working Site (Main Warehouse).

  • Click the Working Site selector to switch to a different site.
  • Choose All Sites to work across everything you have access to at once.

Your Working Site scopes what you see throughout the app, so it’s worth confirming it’s set correctly before you start adding or moving stock.

  1. Click your name in the Profile menu at the top-right of the screen.
  2. Choose Log Off.
  • “User Name or Password is incorrect.” Passwords are case-sensitive: check that Caps Lock is off and that you’re using the exact username your administrator gave you (it may not be your email). If it still fails, use Forgot password? to reset it.
  • I didn’t get the password-reset email. Give it a few minutes, then check your spam or junk folder. If nothing arrives, confirm with your administrator that the email address on your account is correct.
  • My new password is rejected. As you type, the on-screen checklist shows each requirement (length and character types); every item must show a checkmark, and the new-password and confirm fields must match exactly.
  • I’m signed out constantly. This is the inactivity timeout, and Remember Me won’t change it: Remember Me only pre-fills your user name, it doesn’t keep you signed in. If the timeout is disruptive, ask your administrator about your account’s session settings.
  • I’m working in the wrong place. Check the Working Site selector near the top of the screen before adding or moving stock. See Choose your Working Site above.
